Cycling Adventure from Marrakech: Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech to Ouarzazate (100 kilometers/62 miles):
After a short transfer out of Marrakech, we’ll begin our journey with a scenic drive towards the High Atlas Mountains. We’ll reach the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass, the highest road pass in Morocco, offering breathtaking panoramic views.
From there, we’ll descend into the Ounila Valley, enjoying the scenery of Berber villages and traditional kasbahs. Our cycling portion begins, riding on smooth asphalt roads. This moderate climb will lead us to Ouarzazate, a charming town known as the “Hollywood of Morocco” for its numerous movie sets.
- Ascent: 1,500 meters (4,921 feet)
- Descent: 800 meters (2,625 feet)
Day 2: Ouarzazate to Ait Ben Haddou and Skoura (80 kilometers/49 miles):
On day two, conquer a gentle climb as you head towards the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou, either with the assistance of an e-bike or using your own traditional bike. Explore this fascinating ksar, a fortified village that has served as a backdrop for numerous Hollywood films.
After lunch, we’ll continue our ride on mostly flat terrain, passing through the palm groves of Skoura, a beautiful oasis known for its numerous kasbahs. We’ll spend the night in a comfortable riad, a traditional Moroccan guesthouse.

Day 3: Skoura to Dades Gorges (110 kilometers/68 miles):
Day three features a slightly more challenging ride, with the option to choose between the support of an e-bike or the challenge of a traditional bike on the climb leading to the Dades Gorges. This dramatic canyon offers stunning scenery with towering cliffs carved by the Dades River.
Enjoy a picnic lunch amidst the stunning scenery before continuing on flatter terrain towards our accommodation, a traditional hotel nestled within the Dades Gorges.

Day 4: Dades Gorges to Marrakech (120 kilometers/74 miles):
On our final day, we’ll tackle the most significant climb of the tour, ascending back into the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi-n’Tichka Pass. Choose between the assistance of your e-bike or conquer this challenging section with your traditional bike, both rewarding you with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.
We’ll then descend back to Marrakech, where our thrilling adventure comes to an end.
